They are currently experiencing exciting growth plans with work orders and projects growing at a rapid rate, naturally this has led to the requirement for an additional Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join their multi-disciplined team. The business supply their products worldwide and are currently going through A huge growth period which would make it an excellent time to be a part of this company.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the design of safety-critical Electronics used in combination with embedded software medical device platforms, including RTOS and bare-metal systems.
  • Assist in the selection of appropriate technologies and components.
  • Create and maintain design documentation of electromedical devices.
  • Generate and maintain design-related documents such as DFMEA and Technical Project Files to support market clearance.
  • Establish and design suitable test methods along with taking an active role in the verification and validation of software.
  • Contribute to cybersecurity threat modelling and risk assessment.
  • Record all formal and relevant informal engineering information in the product lifecycle management (PLM) system.
  • Provide support for legacy devices if necessary.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties as requested by management.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of engineering experience in electronics design, with exposure to all stages of the product development lifecycle from specification to production.
  • Strong knowledge of medical device regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485, IEC60601, ISO62304, ISO14971).
  • Strong experience with analogue and digital circuit design for embedded controllers.
  • Proven ability to perform test and debug of analogue and digital circuits.
  • Strong debugging, fault-finding, and problem-solving skills.
  • Appreciation of embedded software (C/C++), RTOS, or Linux/Android-based systems to support hardware/software integration.
  • Cyber Security training
