They are currently experiencing exciting growth plans with work orders and projects growing at a rapid rate, naturally this has led to the requirement for an additional Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join their multi-disciplined team. Role & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design of safety-critical Electronics used in combination with embedded software medical device platforms, including RTOS and bare-metal systems.
- Assist in the selection of appropriate technologies and components.
- Create and maintain design documentation of electromedical devices.
- Generate and maintain design-related documents such as DFMEA and Technical Project Files to support market clearance.
- Establish and design suitable test methods along with taking an active role in the verification and validation of software.
- Contribute to cybersecurity threat modelling and risk assessment.
- Record all formal and relevant informal engineering information in the product lifecycle management (PLM) system.
- Provide support for legacy devices if necessary.
- Undertake other reasonable duties as requested by management.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 6 years of engineering experience in electronics design, with exposure to all stages of the product development lifecycle from specification to production.
- Strong knowledge of medical device regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485, IEC60601, ISO62304, ISO14971).
- Strong experience with analogue and digital circuit design for embedded controllers.
- Proven ability to perform test and debug of analogue and digital circuits.
- Strong debugging, fault-finding, and problem-solving skills.
- Appreciation of embedded software (C/C++), RTOS, or Linux/Android-based systems to support hardware/software integration.
