Job OverviewTo supervise a team of up to 20 Cleaning Operatives to ensure we deliver the service level requirements for the contract. The job holder will be responsible for ensuring compliance in line with the BICS industry standards as well as ensuring all Health and Safety requirements associated with the working environment are adhered to.

Main Duties

-Carry out day to day management of your teams planned and unplanned absences, probation reviews, performance management, conduct and investigations in line with Mitie Policies and Procedures.

-Responsible for ensuring resource levels are maintained to the agreed operating levels

-Perform stock taking of all consumables and place orders via the approved internal process

-Carry out daily pre-job briefs and post job reviews and ensure all learning is cascaded to the wider team

-Perform regular inspections of working areas and audits in line with compliance schedule

-Be a point of contact for all client related enquires and requests

-Observe and ensure all client compliance, standards and expectations are adhered to.

-Carry out toolbox talks, risk assessments briefings and on the job refresher training.

-Provide support across the contract to ensure resilience is maintained

-Coordinate complaints and feedback for your area of work and following escalation routes if required

-Solve operational problems and identify suitable solutions in line with service delivery

-Provide support and guidance regarding safe operation of machinery and equipment, cleaning standards and general health and safety practices including issuing of PPE and lone working arrangements.

-Ensure Cleaning Operatives are engaged and kept up to date with area specific updates and personal development

-Ensure team welfare is of a high standard including break facilities, rotation of staff where appropriate, equipment is in good order and suitable for the task.

-Proactively participate in furthering your development, maintaining growth in skills and knowledge deemed essential to the role.
