Summary
Processing repeat prescriptions requests via clinical systems (Vision). Liaising with GPs, nurses, pharmacies and patients regarding medication queries. Handling prescription requests from care homes and other external agencies. Ensuring prescription processing is carried out in line with practice policies and current prescribing protocols. Maintaining accurate records and documenting all communications. Identifying and flagging potential prescribing issues, such as overuse or medication reviews due. Supporting the clinical team with prescription audits or medication safety work when required.
