Summary
Day to day management of waiting list clerks on a daily basis. Support and line manage staff including absence management, sickness, appraisals and performance. Coordinate complex admissions procedure to maximise theatre utilisation. Review and control elective admissions by forecasting bed availability to avoid same day cancellations. Ensure booking system is implemented to enable patients to have input into their proposed admission date whilst achieving waiting list targets. Liaise with Consultant staff on a monthly basis to ensure only appropriate patients are offered patient choice. Plan catheter lab lists around availability of appropriate supporting team including but not limited to, physiology, radiology, nursing and anaesthetic support. Work with Consultants and other medical staff to prioritise admissions according to clinical urgency, position on waiting list etc.
