Summary
About the Role
As a Cleaner at The Park Centre Kingswood, you will play a key role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness expected by our customers. You will carry out a variety of cleaning tasks each morning to ensure the building is clean, safe, and welcoming to the public. This is a key holder position, requiring a high level of trust and responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
• Open and secure the building each day (key holder responsibilities).
• Ensure Health & Safety protocols are followed at all times, including safe manual handling practices.
• Operate a vacuum cleaner across all carpeted areas daily; conduct carpet shampooing as required.
• Empty waste bins and collect litter in designated cleaning areas.
• Sweep all vinyl flooring surfaces as needed.
• Mop, scrub, and polish vinyl and wooden flooring when required.
• Clean toilets thoroughly, including pipework, and ensure daily sanitation to high standards.
• Clean and polish internal doors and glass surfaces as required.
• Replenish toiletry supplies (toilet paper, soap) daily and test hand dryers.
• Ensure cleaning materials and equipment are safely stored and secured at the end of each shift.
• Report any maintenance issues or defects to office staff and log them in the maintenance log sheet.
• Complete upper and lower toilet checklists to monitor and manage supplies.

Desirable:
• Experience working in a public-facing environment (e.g., community centres, schools, or similar).
• Previous key holder experience.

• All necessary training and equipment will be provided as well as PPE.
• This role requires early morning working hours before the Centre opens to the public.
