Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bank Support Worker to join our team to support individuals in their own homes throughout the Staffordshire area. We have 4 supported living services each looking for team members to join. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, promoting their independence, and ensuring their overall well-being. The Support Worker will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those in their care.
Duties
Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Provide support with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
Engage in behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions and outcomes.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver effective case management and support plans.
Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
Perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Administer first aid as required and respond to emergencies promptly.
Document client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel.
Skills
1 year experience in a supported living environment is essential
1 year working with clients with learning disability's
Knowledge of behaviour management techniques is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
