Summary
Curry Chef
Responsibilities:
Prepare authentic Chinese dishes using traditional spices and methods.
Select and process fresh ingredients, including vegetables, meats, and herbs.
Maintain consistency in flavor, presentation, and portion sizes.
Manage inventory of spices, ingredients, and supplies efficiently.
Follow recipe standards while allowing for variations to suit customer preferences.
Ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety in the kitchen.
Cook using various techniques such as tempering, slow braising, and grilling.
Conduct regular training for kitchen staff on hygiene practices and culinary skills.
Implement and follow HACCP protocols to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
Collaborate with team members for smooth operations and stay updated on regional culinary trends.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a chef in a professional setting.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards.
Leadership and team management skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
