Summary
We’re recruiting Class 1 HGV drivers to support peak operations at GXO in London Gateway, near Tilbury. You’ll be delivering products on behalf of Currys to retail stores and customer service centres. These roles offer ongoing work with fixed shift patterns, ideal for drivers seeking stability and long-term opportunities.
Pay Rates:
Days 02:00 – 16:00: £18.74 per hour
Nights 16:00 – 02:00: £19.79 per hour
Weekends: £20.84 to £21.89 per hour
All rates are PAYE and holiday pay is accrued separately
You'll be delivering electronics and white goods, operating from a well-organised depot in Bristol, using clean, well-maintained vehicles. There can be some interaction at the delivery point when unloading, however full training is provided to ensure you are safe and efficient from day one. There are usually 1 or 2 drops and the average shift duration is between 8-10 hours.
We have various shift patterns available for drivers who are looking for regular or part-time/ad-hoc work. So call us now to discuss. Day shifts start around 6am and Night shifts start around 18:00
Requirements:
Valid Class 1 HGV C+E licence
Driver CPC and Tachograph Card
Minimum 2 years of recent HGV driving experience required
No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only)
