Summary
We are recruiting Class 1 HGV drivers to support peak operations at our client GXO in Stevenage, delivering products for Currys to stores and customer service centres. If you're a reliable, professional HGV driver looking for steady work and consistent shift patterns, we want to hear from you.
These are ongoing roles with fixed shift patterns available, and there are temp-to-perm opportunities after 12 weeks for the right driver.
Pay Rates:
Days 02:00 – 16:00: £18.74 per hour
Nights 16:00 – 02:00: £19.79 per hour
Weekends: £20.23 to £21.89 per hour
All rates are PAYE and holiday pay is accrued separately
You'll be delivering electronics and white goods, operating from a well-organised depot in Bristol, using clean, well-maintained vehicles.
There can be some interaction at the delivery point when unloading, however full training is provided to ensure you are safe and efficient from day one. There are usually 1 or 2 drops and the average shift duration is between 8-10 hours.
We have immediate starts for drivers looking for regular or part time work – we can accommodate various shift patterns, or if you are just looking for a few days work a week this may be the ideal opportunity for you. Day shifts start between 05:00 and 08:00 and Night shifts start between 16:00 and 20:00
Requirements:
Valid Class 1 HGV C+E licence
Driver CPC and Tachograph Card
Minimum 2 years of recent HGV driving experience required
No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only)
