Within the position of Receptionist, you will play a key role as part of our Workplace Experience Team, delivering a professional and welcoming front of house service to customers, colleagues, and visitors.​

Acting as the first point of contact, you will facilitate and implement best practices across all front of house areas, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for everyone entering the building. This role requires the highest level of professionalism, particularly when engaging with ministers, senior stakeholders, and high-profile visitors.

Job Description

In this role, you’ll oversee the smooth running of the reception area, managing visitor check-ins, handling enquiries, coordinating meeting room bookings, and supporting events.​

You’ll also play an important part in maintaining high standards across the workplace, working closely with colleagues to ensure everything runs seamlessly behind the scenes.​

As part of a small, dedicated front of house team, you’ll contribute to creating a workplace that is professional, efficient, and welcoming for all who walk through the door.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver first-class customer service that exceeds expectations.

Act as a natural host, ensuring customers, colleagues, and visitors feel welcomed and at ease.

Serve as the main point of contact for requests, enquiries, and visitor management.

Manage telephone enquiries, meeting room bookings, and set-up requirements.

Support the onsite Management team with high-profile events and visits.

Undertake building tours to uphold best practice standards.

Support workplace events, occasionally outside normal working hours.

Foster collaboration across ISS operational teams, suppliers, and customer groups.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to work with discretion and confidentiality at all times.

Proactive, with a positive attitude towards innovation and change.

A strong team player who builds respectful relationships at all levels.

Willingness to go the extra mile to deliver exceptional service.
