Lionheart school is a pupil referral unit that supports some of the most vulnerable young people on the island. An exciting opportunity now exists for a Medical Lead Practitioner with a Current Clinical Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) to be part of our Senior Leadership team and to be responsible for managing the following areas:

Represent Lionheart school at medical reviews/professional meetings
Review of all EHCPs
Support the SENco with regards to medical education provision and adjustments
Work with colleagues, parents/carers and external agencies as necessary to support learners effectively through their time at Lionheart school.
Develop effective intervention programmes
To lead on the production and maintenance of relevant policies and procedures.

Lionheart school provides a stimulating and nurturing environment for a range of students who for a variety of reasons are unable to attend mainstream schools. This could be due to medical needs, being emotionally vulnerable or having social and emotional difficulties.

The school aims to be a Trauma Informed and Therapeutic centre of excellence working with children their parents and home schools.
