Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in Bridgwater for an Engineering Machine Operative to join their busy extrusion department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous warehouse or manufacturing experience who's eager to step into a technical role - full training is provided!
Key Duties:- Operate various production machines including large press machines.
- Perform visual and dimensional quality checks on finished parts.
- Moulding operations: set up moulds, run presses, and trim excess material.
- Mix and cast silicone products.
- Operate trimming, laser marking, and assembly machinery.
- Label and prepare goods for dispatch.
- Maintain accurate production records and paperwork.
- Follow all health, safety, and quality procedures.
- Support other departments when required, working towards lean manufacturing standards.
- Previous warehouse, production, or manufacturing experience (essential).
- Machine operation or rubber manufacturing experience (desirable).
- Good attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
- Comfortable working with small components while wearing gloves.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and adapt across departments.
- Understanding of health and safety in a factory environment.
- £27,000 per annum.
- Two annual loyalty bonuses (up to 4%).
- Early finish every Friday (1pm).
- 33 days holiday (including bank holidays).
- Christmas shut down.
- Permanent, full-time role.
