Summary
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Finance Data Migration Consultant to lead and support data migration activities from multiple finance systems (Sage, Xero, and legacy platforms etc.) to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reconciliation, seamless cutover planning, and robust data integrity across the enterprise.
Location: Midlands (Hybrid - 1 to 2 days on-site per week)Contract Type: 3 month initial
Day Rate: £550 p/d - £650 p/d
You'll be working in a hybrid capacity, with regular on-site collaboration in the Midlands alongside Finance SMEs and Directors.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute data migration strategies for finance systems.
- Lead data cleansing, mapping, and cutover activities using Business Central D365.
- Collaborate with Finance SMEs and Directors to align migration plans with operational needs.
- Perform financial reconciliation across legacy and target systems.
- Support UAT phases for data migration and cutover validation.
- Ensure integration readiness through data mapping and transformation.
- Leverage data warehouse and enterprise architecture for validation and MI reporting.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Strong background in finance system migration (e.g., Sage, Xero, legacy platforms).
- Expertise in data templates, mapping, cleansing, and cutover planning.
- Solid understanding of financial reconciliation processes.
- Experience working with Enterprise Data Architecture and data warehouses.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, especially with Finance SMEs and Directors.
- Familiarity with UAT processes and post-migration validation.
Desirable
- Experience in large-scale ERP implementations.
- Knowledge of MI reporting tools and synchronisation techniques.
