Summary
Please refer to the full job description for more information about the role To assist the sister/charge nurse in leading the nursing team in the provision of high quality, research based, nursing care that is patient focused. To act as a role model to less experienced nurses, ensuring appropriate care of the perioperative patient is planned, implemented and evaluated. To support the sister/charge nurse in the management and facilitation of the development of staff creating an effective team. To foster a multidisciplinary approach to patient care in line with Clinical Governance. To provide high quality, research based, individualised patient care at all times. To provide a problem solving approach to patient care. To prepare the clinical environment to meet the requirements of the operating lists and anticipated workload and when on night duty unload sterile instrument container trolleys as required.
