The OpportunityWe are seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our clinical workforce. In this role, you will work both independently and collaboratively to assess, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of acute and long-term conditions.
Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, person-centred care through face-to-face consultations, telephone triage, and occasional home visits.

Undertake comprehensive clinical assessments, including history taking and physical examinations, to formulate diagnoses and management plans.

Request and interpret appropriate investigations (e.g., blood tests, ECGs, X-rays) to support clinical decision-making.

Prescribe medications, provide treatments, and make referrals or admissions as needed, in line with professional competencies.

Prioritise and respond effectively to urgent and emergency situations, including initiating and leading resuscitation when necessary.

Collaborate with other clinicians to review test results, manage workload, and provide continuity of care.

Support patients with complex or undifferentiated presentations, including vulnerable groups and those with learning disabilities.

Participate in service development, quality improvement, and professional education opportunities.

Person SpecificationEssential Experience
-
Proven experience in an advanced practice nursing role.
-
Portfolio of supervised practice demonstrating advanced clinical competencies.

Experience supporting vulnerable patients or those with complex needs.
Desirable Experience
-
Previous experience in primary care, urgent care, or emergency settings.

Familiarity with commonly used clinical IT systems and online consultation platforms.
Essential Qualifications

Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification (RCN-accredited or equivalent).

V300 prescribing qualification.
Desirable Qualifications

Evidence of participation in clinical audits or quality improvement projects.

Up-to-date knowledge of Department of Health and NICE guidelines.

Understanding of safeguarding procedures for adults, children, and domestic abuse.
