Summary

Learning Support Assistant
Grade: 5 point 7
Start Date: As soon as possible
Hours: 30 Hours
Fixed Term in the first instance
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support children in their learning and development, ensuring that all pupils have the opportunity to succeed.Key Responsibilities:
• Assist teachers in the planning and delivery of engaging and effective lessons.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to pupils who need additional help with their learning, depending on the needs of the school.
• Help to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other learning programs.
• Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
• Assist with classroom management and the organization of learning resources.
• Support pupils with their social and emotional development.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable.
• Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, are desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting children’s learning.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
