Port Talbot | Competitive Pay | Full-Time | Workshop-Based | Permanent IntroductionAcorn by Synergie is currently recruiting for Heavy Mobile / Construction Plant Fitters (apprenticeship served) to join their client in Port Talbot. You will be working on repairs and maintenance of the mechanical and pneumatic aspects of plant equipment in a busy workshop environment.
Key Duties:- Routine maintenance on all plant from forward tipping dumpers up to dump trucks, excavators, shovels, and dozers on site and in a workshop.
- Breakdowns.
- Carry out servicing.
- Inspections for insurance purposes.
- Undertaking risk assessment and associated paperwork, where required, of the relevant activities to ensure a suitable and effective safe system of work.
- Preventative maintenance and fault finding.
- Following safety measures.
- Maintain your company vehicle to a high standard.
- A background in working with construction plant (Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, Terex etc.).
- Basic knowledge of welding.
- Current valid driver's licence.
- Successful applicants will be subject to a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
- Long-term work opportunity.
- Full-time, workshop-based role.
