Nottingham!

Location: Nottingham, NG2 1LU (Hybrid Working)
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8.30am – 5pm and Fridays 8.30pm – 4pm.
Salary: £25,000 - £26,000
Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to support the procurement manager in the development of sourcing materials and suppliers on agreed
categories, improving company profitability and working capital.
Your Duties Will Include:
* Support the sourcing implementation and introduction of new suppliers, either in packaging or ingredients teams.
* Conduct market reviews and presentations ensuring business needs are met of allocated categories through quality, innovation,
service, cost and supply.
* Price file maintenance and costing/tender reviews.
* Identify new raw materials required to meet external customer needs driven by New Product Development (NPD) and Existing
Product Development (EPD) briefs.
* Support with risk assessments of the supply base and suggest mitigation actions
* Help deploy and implement best practice Procurement processes and techniques learnt
* Ensure materials sourced are from an approved supplier, costed correctly and meet internal and external requirements.
* Encourage innovation and food values from supplier meetings or presentations
* Ensure new suppliers agree to our Terms & Conditions and all paperwork is completed including invoice approvals
Experience:
* Looking to start or continue career within procurement
* Previous procurement administration experience advantageous but not essential
* Previous experience of working in a food manufacturing environment (desirable)
* Qualification such as CIPS (desirable).
Key Skills and Requirements:
* Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
* Strong written and verbal communication with people at all levels
* Organised and confident decision maker
* Responsive and reactive
* Attention to detail
* Valid driving licence due to occasional expectation to travel to our other sites across the UK
