Summary
To provide cascade trainers with the specialist knowledge required in order that they may carry out their duties in accordance with Trust policy. Monitor trainer competence in the risk assessment process, in order that they may underpin manual handling training with risk assessment principles To maintain links with cascade trainers in all areas to ensure the adherence to good practice on a day-to-day basis. To practically support the cascade trainers practice where appropriate To co-ordinate and periodically assess all trainers through the "Training for Trainers Update" process. To manage the performance of the Manual handling team by setting aims and objectives in liaison with the team, in line with the Manual Handling strategic objectives To maximise the effective use of resources within the parameters of the given budget To report on manual handling issues to the assistant director for risk and the trust board.
