A leading UK housebuilder is offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Technical Coordinator to join their Technical Team based in Takeley, Essex. As Assistant Technical Coordinator, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of new build housing projects from inception through to completion. You'll be responsible for coordinating design information, managing external consultants, and liaising with local authorities and internal departments including site teams.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the management of external consultants to deliver working drawings to agreed programmes and scopes
  • Supporting the Engineering Manager, Technical Manager, and Technical Coordinators
  • Attending design team and site progress meetings
  • Overseeing site investigation and civil/structural design work
  • Responding to site queries and resolving technical/construction issues
  • Reviewing and issuing drawings and coordinating project documentation
  • Supporting departmental objectives and identifying opportunities for improvement

What you'll need to succeedYou'll bring proven experience in a similar technical role within the residential construction sector, along with strong organisational and communication skills. A proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively will be key.
Essential skills and experience:

  • IT literate (Office 365)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent planning, organisational and communication abilities
  • Ability to work with accuracy and remain calm under pressure
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset

Desirable:

  • Working towards or holding a construction/design-related qualification (HNC/HND/Degree)
  • Proficient in AutoCAD/REVIT
