Summary

Murray Recruitment are recruiting a Credit Controller for our client based in West Lothian.

Role Overview:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Credit Controller to join a busy Finance Team on an ongoing temporary basis. This key role is responsible for managing outstanding debts from business-to-business (B2B) clients, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring accurate and up-to-date records within internal systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills and a proactive approach to credit control in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively chase outstanding payments from B2B customers via phone and email.
Maintain accurate records of all communications and payment arrangements.
Resolve customer queries in a professional and timely manner.
Liaise with internal departments to ensure billing and account issues are addressed.
Update and maintain financial systems and spreadsheets.
Prepare reports on debtor status for management review.
Support general finance administration as required.

Skills & Experience:

Previous experience in a credit control or similar finance role is essential.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively.
High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Proficient in using finance systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
A confident and professional telephone manner.

Offering:

Ongoing temporary contract with an immediate start available.
Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience (£DOE).
Full-time hours: 37.5 or 40 hours per week, to be agreed with the line manager.
Based fully on-site at the client’s office in Bathgate.
