Job Purpose:

• To lead and manage the teams responsible for supporting the Council’s ICT 1st and 2nd Line support functions including Service Desk, Field Service and Hardware Repair.

• To manage the overall provision of service, including the elements carried out in house and those carried out by external suppliers.

•   To manage the overall provision of a high quality, efficient and effective service to end users that delivers the desired customer service experience and improves customer satisfaction. 

• Responsible for the management and transformation in conjunction with the ICT Operations Manager (Service) of Service Delivery including the introduction of improved knowledge management and self-serve options to Highland Council ICT users.

Requirements

  • Educated to degree level in a numerate/business/technology related subject; or
  • Relevant industry specific qualification(s); or
  • Extensive relevant proven experience that demonstrates a similar level of knowledge and understanding.
