Summary

University of Sheffield
Are you a versatile, post-doctorate Research Associate with mixed methods research skills? Do you have a passion for undertaking challenging, yet important research, focused on palliative and end-of-life care? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join us at the University of Sheffield.
You will support a 3-year National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR) funded study, ‘The Inclusive evaluation of Care at the very end-of-life’ (I-Care).
You will be an integral member of an emerging group of palliative and end-of-life care researchers and will work with Dr Catriona Mayland, Senior Clinical Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Palliative Medicine.
In this varied and dynamic role, you will be responsible for planning and managing the data collection for an inclusive, national post-bereavement survey and individual qualitative interviews focused on care at the very end-of-life. Additionally, you will help train, appoint and work collaboratively with Community Researchers (non-academic community leads who are trained in research skills), and Patient and Public Involvement representatives, to involve community groups and organisations within the study. You will have an integral role in developing novel outputs to help disseminate study findings and recommendations.
There would be the opportunity for international conference attendance as part of the role to present study findings and support career development.
