Summary

Site Operatives

Widnes | £12.21 per hour (overtime £18.32 per hour) | Monday - Friday | Temporary (Approx. 5 Weeks)

Acorn by Synergie is proud to be recruiting for Site Operatives on a temporary basis for approximately five weeks for their national processing client based centrally in Widnes.

The successful candidates will be working as part of a team processing incinerator bottom ash to aid in the recovery of ferrous and non-ferrous metals through the operation of static process plant.

Please note: A drug test will be required before starting this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working on a picking station.
  • Clean-down of equipment.
  • Routine machine maintenance.
  • Manual handling.
  • Ensuring safety is paramount and reporting any defects.
Candidate Requirements
  • Enjoy working in a busy environment.
  • Able to work as part of a team safely.
  • Maintain a tidy work area, practise good housekeeping, and ensure all equipment is well maintained.
  • Contribute improvement ideas and actively take part in health and safety meetings.
Hours & Pay
  • Monday to Thursday: 6:45am - 6:15pm (11 hours paid).
  • Friday: 6:45am - 3:45pm (8.5 hours paid).
  • Total: 52.5 hours paid per week.
  • Two 30-minute breaks per shift (one paid, one unpaid).
  • £12.21 per hour for the first eight hours per day.
  • £18.32 per hour for hours worked beyond eight per day.
  • Optional additional hours available on Saturdays.
