Are you a recent graduate with a passion for understanding and supporting young people?

Do you want hands-on experience in a school setting while preparing for a future career in Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, or Specialist SEND roles?

A highly regarded secondary school in Westminster is looking for a Graduate Assistant to join their SEND and pastoral team, supporting students with EHCPs, particularly those with:

Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN)

Your Role

As a Graduate Assistant, you will:

• Work closely with the SENCo, teachers, and external specialists to support individual students
• Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions, following evidence-based strategies
• Support assessments, data collection, and monitoring of student progress
• Assist with social skills, emotional regulation, and communication development
• Contribute to reports and intervention planning, gaining insight into professional educational psychology practice

Who We’re Looking For

You will be:

• A recent graduate or final-year student in Psychology, Education, Linguistics, or related fields
• Enthusiastic, empathetic, and highly motivated to work with students with SEND
• Keen to learn from a multidisciplinary team in a real-world school environment
• Interested in progressing towards Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, or Teaching careers

Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential – full training and support will be provided.
