Summary
SHIFT PATTERN: 6 - 6 days and nights (4 on 4 off)
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To assist with the overall task of maintaining security on site including issuing of passes and reporting visitors. Additionally providing a service to the entire site, approximately 150 employees, regarding first aid assistance, accident reporting and covering reception duties out of normal office hours. Be the first point of contact to the site for all deliveries, visitors, contractors, etc and represent the Company in a professional and engaging manner at all times.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To follow Tenmat’s Security procedures.
2. Ensuring the Irlam site is safe and secure at all times. Locking of all Pedestrian gates / Service yard gates and barriers as required nightly.
3. Physical presence at the entrance barrier during staff arrival on site
4. Patrolling of factory, offices and outbuildings. Ensuring all doors / shutters / gates are locked. Physical patrols to take place 6 times per night on both weekday nights and on weekend days and nights.
5. CCTV patrols - to be recorded hourly utilising individual security login.
6. Operating of the intruder Alarm Systems / Fire alarm systems / Access control systems.
7. Ensure accurate records are kept on the Security PC including Diary / Handover / Keys / Licence Checks / Deliveries & Collections / Pool car / Energy Report / Accident reports / Incident reporting / Diesel log & All other associated checks within Security.
8. Issuing of Tenmat parking passes.
9. Reporting any suspicious activities to Line Manager or Management as appropriate.
10. Checking and reporting of all visitors / Contractors to site to their host
11. Managing Contractor permits & inductions / Scanning of all documents / Issuing swipe cards / Reporting of incomplete permits.
12. Always Answering the Tenmat landline & Security mobile in a professional manner.
13. Ensuring full understanding of the following systems: - Fire alarm panel / Access control / CCTV / Panic alarm system / Roof ventilation system / Gas supply cut off system / Passenger lift Emergency response / Intercom system / ANPR system / Intruder alarm system / Any other Security / Fire systems & Smart Log
14. Providing First Aid cover for the entire site and reporting any accidents that occur.
15. Checking stock levels within the first aid room and first aid boxes around site & reporting any replenishment and/or additional requirements to line manager.
16. Training of new / temporary members of staff in Security as required.
17. Monthly fire equipment checks are completed & issues reported to line manager. Records are up to date & accurate.
18. Site Fire alarm testing (weekly test).
19. Compliance with requirement for hourly check calls outside normal office hours to be completed on time (Lone worker checks).
20. Means of Escape checks.
21. External lighting check.
22. Complying to GDPR.
23. Any other duties commensurate with your knowledge and skills.
24. Issuing of Locker keys for employees.
25. Training / Inductions for staff / agency personnel.
26. Ensuring Tagging schedule is adhered to whilst on patrol.
27. Smart log account is accessed daily.
