Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 13 year old girl living in the Gelli area with my family. I have Global Developmental Delay following an MRI in November 2014 I was diagnosed with Cerebella Hypoplasia, the condition is a rare embryonic developmental disorder in which the cerebellum in my brain is smaller than usual.
I remain totally dependent on others to ensure my needs wishes and feelings are met appropriately. I enjoy playing with my friends and watching TV, especially Peppa Pig. I also need a high level of supervision and care at all times to ensure I am kept safe from harm.
I would like to employ a PA who can support me at home and within the local community to engage in the activities I enjoy.
PURPOSE OF JOB
To provide me with support at home and out in the community. This will also provide some respite for my family.
PLACE OF WORK
In and around the area of RCT
HOURS OF WORK
3 hours per week to be worked any day after school or on the weekend. 6 hours per week school holidays.
RATE OF PAY
£13.00 per hour, Plus some mileage allowance @ £0.40 per mile.
TASKS INVOLVED
• Personal care and toileting needs
• Social outings, community activities
• Any other reasonable task
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
• Female due to personal care
• Reliable/Punctual
• Considerate/Caring/Trustworthy
• Friendly/Chatty
• Confident/Proactive
• Car driver/Access to a car to transport employer.
ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive 5.6 weeks paid holiday (pro rata). You will be required to apply for a DBS check at no expense to you.
