Summary

Position overview

As a result of continued growth, my client seek to appoint a Sales Representative preferably with experience within the waste management sector to cover mainly South Yorkshire with some coverage of North Derbyshire.

This position will see you working closely with all departments to drive sales and identify new commercial opportunities. You will communicate with both new and existing customers, being informative and understanding of their requirements.

You will be capable of identifying and developing new business opportunities in order to attain your sales targets. Within this role, you will also be required to generate reports detailing new business, growth organically and from new business.

Good knowledge of excel, word and PowerPoint is needed. Excellent organisational skills and a good work ethic are essential to the role, along with the ability to work within a team and communicate to a range of commercial customers

Duties include • Selling on contract a comprehensive range of waste disposal solutions to commercial customers

• Cold calling, generating new business leads, building a strong regional pipeline, and knowledge of your allocated area

• Develop and demonstrate commercial awareness

• Manage workload effectively to deliver agreed targeted sales

• Provide an outstanding level of customer service

• Attending commercial exhibitions, business Expo’s, Networking events to further promote the business

• Selling to new clients, this will require motivation, and ability to handle objections

Experience and key skills required

• Previous experience within the waste management sector desirable

• Be able to demonstrate good communication skills at stakeholder level

• Comfortable with cold calling, making own appointments and managing time effectively

• Self-motivated, able to demonstrate in previous roles target achievement

• Fluent in both spoken and written English

• IT literate, must have good understanding of excel, word and powerpoint

• Professional telephone manner

• Full UK driving licence
