Summary
Social Care & Education are looking for dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our team in the Leicester area.
About the role:
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will deliver person-centred care and support to help service users maintain independence and quality of life. Your duties will include:
• Personal care – supporting with general hygiene and maintaining privacy and dignity at all times.
• Mealtimes - Assisting with food and drink preparation and supporting residents with feeding where necessary.
• Supporting with mobility – including the use of hoists, stand aids, and other mobility equipment.
• Engaging in activities – encouraging participation in hobbies, interests, and social interactions to promote wellbeing and reduce isolation.
• Providing emotional support and companionship
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide the highest standard of care, supporting with all aspects of daily living.
• Assist service users with limited mobility, using hoists and other aids safely and effectively.
• Accurately record and update care notes using the PCS recording system.
• Support and encourage service users to engage in hobbies, interests and social activities.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, ensuring continuity and consistency of care.
What we’re looking for:
• A minimum of 3 months’ experience in a similar care role.
• Experience with hoisting and manual handling.
• Experience using the PCS recording system.
• Reliability, honesty, and strong communication skills.
• A genuine passion for improving the lives of others.
• Punctuality and a strong work ethic.
