Summary
This is a large 40 horse yard with lots going on, they have liveries, run events, buy and sell horses and compete. All general yard duties to include :
Mucking out/ keeping yard tidy
Turning in and out / changing rugs
Filling haynets and water buckets
Feeding
Grooming / Tacking up
Helping to run the events
Riding / Training for the right candidate
Grooming at competitions
Training
All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.
Qualifications required
Must be able to work towards Level 2 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English
Skills required
Good basic equine experience required
Prospects
Progression to the Level 3 Senior Groom and or possibility of full time employment .
Qualification / Standard : ST0166 Equine groom
Duration 12 Months
