Summary
DCMS Commercial is unique - we deliver the classic portfolio of ‘commercial’ services such as procurement, contract management and supplier engagement, as well as providing the department with a niche set of services such as negotiating with foreign investors, mergers and acquisitions, policy development and income generation.
We act as strategic delivery partners to the department, and our work secures good value for the taxpayer, drives growth and ensures DCMS remains productive and agile.
Our size means we’re flexible - we all lean-in to support the priorities of the day at the same time as maintaining a brilliant core service to our customers.
We place great emphasis on engaging positively with our colleagues and stakeholders, which we believe creates a great working environment.
We’re seeking two Senior Commercial Managers to join our team. You’ll be based in either our Manchester or London hub.
You’ll lead a variety of commercial workstreams and projects, putting your service delivery, project management, engagement and data skills to good use. No two days will be the same - you’ll lead the procurement of lower value goods and services and support complex commercial activity. You’ll engage with stakeholders and customers, analyse data and share insight reports with senior leaders, advising the department how they can secure good value and comply with procurement regulations.
You’ll be inquisitive and keen to learn new skills, and in return we can provide you with the learning and development you need to develop your career in commercial and in the Civil Service. You may line manage a small team.
We place great emphasis on individual’s willingness to get involved and work as a team. Commercial is central to the delivery of DCMS objectives, so you’ll be agile and keen to work flexibly to meet the changing priorities of the department with enthusiasm.
