The Clinical Systems and Data Administrator is a key role within Everest House Surgery, responsible for ensuring the effective use of our clinical and administrative systems. The postholder will manage a wide range of tasks that underpin both patient care and practice performance. Day-to-day duties include running searches and producing reports to support clinicians, audits, recalls, QOF, and enhanced services. The role also involves preparing and submitting NHS claims (CQRS, Public Health, immunisations, QOF), supporting data quality improvement, and ensuring patient records are accurate and correctly coded. The administrator will provide first-line IT support to staff, troubleshooting issues with PCs, printers, telephony, and clinical systems such as EMIS, SystmOne, Docman, AccuRx, and eConsult. They will be responsible for managing user accounts and permissions, setting up new staff, removing leavers, and delivering IT inductions and basic training. In addition, the role requires close attention to data security and information governance, including compliance with GDPR, NHS Digital standards, and local policies. The postholder will support the management of IT assets, system backups, and software updates, and will help to identify and escalate any potential breaches.
