Summary
• To co-ordinate the care and educational needs of individual children with your room lead
• To plan and provide a stimulating and caring environment for children in your care
• To positively promote and adhere to all nursery policies
• To actively guide any unqualified members of staff or students and level 2 staff members in their practice.
• To be responsible for working to meet each child’s needs. At level 3, to support their carers as needed.
• Responsible for planning , setting up and delivering activities and monitoring the children's development via observation and involve parents with this by sending home observations as well as photographs and/or video clips of their child at nursery and encourage parents /carers to send in photographs of children activities outside of nursery.
• Keep up to date with the progress of children in your care so this can be fed into any termly update that may be used at a parent evening or sent out to parents via tapestry.
• Have the ability to write coherent, concise reports that may be used in legal proceedings.
• Be able to collate and present information at conferences and reviews.
