Job Description

West Dunbartonshire Council Roads Operations are currently looking to recruit a new Roadworker (Chargehand) Driver to join the team.

The successful candidate will undertake and supervise a range of road maintenance and street lighting tasks such as laying modular paving slabs, kerbs, footway surfacing, carriageway surfacing, structural patching, drainage works, gully motor and temporary traffic management including erecting and removing signs, barriers, and cones and other related roads maintenance activities.

Successful candidates will be required to contribute towards the Council’s winter/summer maintenance activities such as - winter gritting, flood management and road traffic accidents.

Applicants must hold an SVQ Level 2 Roads Maintenance, HAUC certification and an HGV Driving Licence as this is an essential requirement.
