Job Description

West Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership is seeking a strategic and dedicated Adult Protection Lead Officer to lead multi-agency efforts and ensure our statutory responsibilities are met with excellence.

What You’ll Do:
* Coordinate and monitor adult protection work across partner agencies.
* Lead the development of policies, procedures, and improvement plans.
* Support the Adult Protection Committee and its subgroups.
* Provide expert guidance on legislation, case reviews and governance.
* Deliver multi-agency training and raise public awareness of adult protection.

Who You Are:
* A qualified social work professional (DipSW or equivalent) registered with SSSC.
* Experienced in public protection, policy development, and multi-agency collaboration.
* Skilled in performance analysis, service improvement and strategic planning.
* A confident communicator with the ability to influence and lead.

Requirements

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.

Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
