Summary


We are seeking to appoint a friendly and highly organised person to join our school as an Administration Assistant. This post is varied, extremely busy and relies on the post holder maintaining a calm and professional manner at all times. You will be the first point of contact for our community, welcoming pupils, parents, staff, and other visitors, so exceptional interpersonal skills are an essential requirement.Monday - Friday 9am - 11am, term time onlyThe main responsibilities of the role are : Ensure Office Stationary and First Aid supplies are in stock.  Keep the Office & First Aid Room tidy, return Teachers items to class.  Undertake reception duties, act as first point of contact in response to telephone and face-to-face enquiries, sign in visitors.  Open, sort and distribute incoming mail and post outgoing mail.  Deliver items and messages to classrooms.  Enter diary dates & appointments onto School Calendar.  Undertake word-processing and IT based tasks including operation of relevant equipment and advance IT packages.  Provide reprographic support to school staff.The successful candidate will be confident, ideally have some school office experience, is able to work productively in a busy and demanding environment and have a good sense of humour. We are looking for someone who has: • Good communication skills • initiative and the ability to multi task and meet deadlines • Previous experience of working in a school office • A professional, friendly and welcoming approach to pupils, visitors, parents and staff and the ability to remain calm • The ability to exercise discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters • Level 1 Safeguarding training • Understanding of the Schools ethos and values • A valid First Aid Certificate
