Summary

Bangor University School of Health Sciences is offering an exciting opportunity for an aspiring dental hygiene and dental therapy lecturer/clinical supervisor to join our team on a temporary full-time (1.0 FTE) basis for a period of 12 months to cover maternity leave.

Duties will include the teaching of dental programmes and supervision and assessment of undergraduate dental hygiene and dental therapy students, within the clinical environment.

Candidates should be educated to degree standard in dental therapy and be registered with the General Dental Council. We will consider applicants with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy. Previous experience mentoring/supervising dental nurses/hygienists/therapists would be beneficial but not essential.

The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable but not essential for this post.

This role will be located on campus at Bangor and at clinical placement sites across North Wales. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will may be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
