Responsibilities As a Fire Stopper, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Performing fire stopping tasks, including cable penetration sealing and fireproofing.
- Removing and replacing mastic to ensure compliance with fire safety standards.
- Ensuring all work adheres to current fire safety regulations and best practices.
- Accurately documenting work using the One Trace booking system.
- Collaborating with team members to deliver high-quality results within project timelines.
- Maintaining a safe and organized work environment at all times.
Qualifications To be successful in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection (mandatory).
- Proven experience in fire stopping and cable penetration work.
- Familiarity with the One Trace booking system.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Day-to-Day Your typical day will involve:
- Reviewing project requirements and preparing necessary tools and materials.
- Conducting fire stopping tasks, including sealing cable penetrations and applying fire-resistant materials.
- Removing and replacing mastic to ensure fire safety compliance.
- Logging completed work and progress updates in the One Trace booking system.
- Inspecting completed tasks to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Coordinating with team members and supervisors to address any challenges or adjustments.
