About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Support Worker to join a vibrant and inclusive school community in Leeds. This is a full-time, long-term position.You will be a crucial point of contact for students, providing emotional, social, and academic support. The role involves working closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure the well-being and progress of every student. You will be responsible for managing complex cases, implementing support plans, and fostering a positive and nurturing school environment. Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a pastoral or similar support role
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach
  • An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service, or the willingness to apply for one.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-to-one and group support to students
  • Developing and implementing individualised support plans
  • Liaising with parents, teachers, and external agencies
  • Monitoring student progress and well-being
  • Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviours
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential student records
  • Contributing to the school's safeguarding procedures
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive school culture
  • Delivering workshops and interventions on key pastoral issues
  • Reporting on student welfare to the leadership team
