The Priory School is a small Church of England School that is committed to providing the very best support and nurture for all pupils.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to work in class alongside teachers where there is an identified need for additional pupil support. We are looking for someone who will act as a positive role model to our pupils and, under the direction of the class teacher and Inclusion Lead, support our pupils in their progress and learning using specialised SEN strategies.
Working Hours: 8:30 am to 1:30 pm Monday to Friday. (This is an event linked position to specific pupils with Educational Health Care Plans.)
Previous experience in this field is an advantage, but is not a requirement, as we offer a comprehensive induction and training package to all new employees. Successful candidates will have basic numeracy and literacy, e.g., through GCSE qualifications in English and Maths or equivalent. They should also have a basic understanding of Health and Safety regulations, basic IT skills, and an enthusiasm to learn.
The Priory School is committed to providing high-quality staff training that is relevant to their role. The appointed candidate will be provided with the relevant training to ensure that they are well-equipped to fulfill their duties.
