Outstanding Independent Specialist School has a vacancy for a Cover Supervisor
Hours: 08:20-4:30pm Monday to Thursday, 08:20-3:40pm Friday
Salary: Band 6 £30,885-£33,122 (actual salary £27,202-29,172 pro-rata term time only)

Undershaw is a specialist setting where children from Year 3 to Post 16 with mild to moderate learning
difficulties and additional needs, such as ASD, cerebral palsy, hemiplegia, and medical vulnerabilities can
access the national curriculum and qualification pathways in a safe, secure, and friendly environment.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced candidate to fulfil the role of Cover Supervisor at
Undershaw Specialist School in Hindhead. The successful candidate will be confident teaching and
delivering lessons for short term or unplanned absence. At Undershaw we uphold the pastoral wellbeing
of everyone within our school community as the central pillar of the education we provide. As a passionate
and enthusiastic individual, you will be key to not only supporting the educational learning of our pupils
but also to help them develop social skills, independence and grow their self-esteem.Skills required:
• Grade C (or equivalent) or above in GCSE English & Maths
• QTS or HLTS qualification desirable
• Experience of working with young people
• Good communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to think creatively and problem solve.
• A great team player with a flexible “can-do” attitude
• Understanding or an interest in Special Needs Education Needs and Disabilities
