Summary

We're Hiring: NPI Engineer

Location: Milden, Suffolk | Full-Time | Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

An exciting and fast-growing engineering business is looking for a skilled New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer to join the team!

In this key role, you'll help drive new product development and introduction from concept to production. You'll collaborate with commercial, quality, and operations teams, along with key customers, to bring new products to life through a structured and efficient process.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead feasibility reviews with cross-functional teams to optimise manufacturing methods
  • Design and develop tooling for efficient product manufacturing
  • Perform CMM measurement and prepare PPAP documentation
  • Carry out full visual inspections for ISIR submissions (including weld & paint approval)
  • Support operations with continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist customers with manufacturing design queries
  • Develop and assess prototypes for approval
  • Maintain tooling and fixtures to support ongoing production

What You'll Bring:

Required:

  • 3+ years' engineering/fabrication experience
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Preferred:

  • Experience using CMM measuring equipment
  • 3D CAD qualifications or experience
  • Familiarity with PFMEA, DFMEA, and control plans
  • Experience working with APQP/PPAP processes
