Your new school
A multi-cultural primary school based in North Birmingham is looking for an experienced administrator to support the school office. This will be a long term role. It will be Monday to Friday, term time only to start as soon as possible.
Your new job
The school office is a very busy and fast paced environment. You will be responsible for meeting and greeting a high volume of parents, visitors and pupils as well as answering and transferring calls and taking messages, as well as updating SIMS, typing letters, answering the phone, and dinner queries. You will also support with chasing attendance.
Please note that this is a very busy school office and requires someone that can work under pressure.
What you'll need to succeed
For this school Administration job, you will need to have excellent communication skills and telephone manner with the ability to work in a pressured environment as well as an understanding of the importance of 'Child Protection and Safeguarding' issues when working on a school reception. You will also have recent experience working as a school receptionist with satisfactory references. Any person working in a school must hold an enhanced DBS check.
