Information for the role of House Porter (Conference Support)Salary £24,642 per annum for 37.5 hours per weekAn excellent opportunity to join a prestigious organisation in a varied and fulfilling role in a small friendly team. Your day-to-day duties will include:The lifting, moving and storing of furniture, equipment and other items (manual handling training will be provided)Conference set up and supportCleaning of designated areas of the College (both internal and external); the collection and return of recycling bins and laundry dutiesTo be considered for this interesting role, you will need to have:A full UK-valid driving licence (with a maximum of 3 points) The ability to move and lift heavy items, and use ladders, in line with Risk Assessments and after trainingKnowledge of, or able to learn, cleaning routine and techniquesClear communication skills, with a good command of the English languageThe ideal candidate will be a polite and friendly team player, who is able to respond to changing work priorities. Details of the roleThe post of House Porter (Conference Support) is a permanent full time role.Hours of work are 37.5 hours per week worked over 7 days, with an unpaid 30-minute lunch break. Core hours are from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm usually Monday to Friday, with some out of hours and weekend work so flexibility is required. The annual salary is £24,642 per annum for 37.5 hours per week (Step 25 on the College Salary Scale). In addition to the salary, we offer an attractive benefits package.
