The Regeneration team at Canterbury City Council is looking for a SENIOR REGENERATION MANAGER to join them.

Do you have a love for building projects?

Are you passionate about taking physical development projects from concept to completion?

Canterbury already has a proven track record of delivering aspirational development projects such as the Marlowe Theatre, The Beaney - House of Art and Knowledge and The Riverside, but with an emerging Local Plan and ambitions for growth there are many more exciting opportunities ahead.

If you have significant experience in development management, housing delivery, real estate, property development or estate management and have delivered physical development projects, we want to hear from you.

About this Senior Regeneration Manager job:

This role will lead in coordinating the development, delivery and management of major land and property-based development projects.

Here’s what you’ll get up to:

You will be the one to ensure our development projects are planned and delivered in a way that maximizes the benefits to the council and community.
You’ll prepare the financial forecasts and appraisals, then go on to manage and monitor the project budgets to ensure costs are controlled and value is created.
By identifying opportunities and threats to the delivery of multiple projects you’ll be leading a programme of projects that will deliver meaningful change to the district.
We have a culture of collaboration. You will work with a team of friendly and professional colleagues you’ll drive schemes from concept through the various development phases and on to physical delivery and completion.

Working pattern:

Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays.
Full-Time, 37 hours per week
Permanent contract
The team operates a flexible hybrid working model. Due to the nature of the job, you will sometimes need to be on-site, sometimes in the office. We recognise the benefits of smarter working practices that enable us to maximise productivity.

About you, the ideal Senior Regeneration Manager for the job:

Your knowledge:

Can you demonstrate a thorough understanding of housing and regeneration issues and what a local authority’s role is in delivering regeneration projects?

Your experience:

Can you evidence experience of leading and delivering significant regeneration, housing or building projects from conception through to completion?
Do you have experience of land and property disposals and acquisitions?

Your qualifications:

Do you have a degree or equivalent in a development, property, construction or property management field, or can you demonstrate an equivalent education through experience of a similar role?
