Summary
Are you a hands-on professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for precision engineering? Our client is looking for a Press Setter to join a dynamic team and play a vital role in ensuring our production lines run smoothly, safely, and to the highest standards.
Location: Berkshire 3 Shift Contract Type: Permanent ️ Key Responsibilities:- Safely set individual tooling on presses to exact specifications.
- Complete all PM sheets and safety checks to ensure legal compliance.
- Exchange press tooling as per instructions.
- Ensure work areas are clear of excess tooling and materials.
- Verify all safety features (guarding, e-stops) are operational during setup.
- Load lines and confirm first-off quality before handover.
- Maintain product quality throughout production runs.
- Support the department as needed, including packing and operating.
- Uphold BRC hygiene standards.
- Act as a Material Handler to keep presses supplied and running.
- Learn and operate the universal grinding machine.
- A proactive communicator with a positive attitude.
- Experience in press setting (desirable).
- Basic computer literacy.
- Organised and tidy work habits.
- Manual press experience (essential).
- Knowledge of press tooling or materials (desirable).
- Understanding of legal requirements for press setting.
