Press Setter

Are you a hands-on professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for precision engineering? Our client is looking for a Press Setter to join a dynamic team and play a vital role in ensuring our production lines run smoothly, safely, and to the highest standards.

Location: Berkshire 3 Shift Contract Type: Permanent ️ Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely set individual tooling on presses to exact specifications.
  • Complete all PM sheets and safety checks to ensure legal compliance.
  • Exchange press tooling as per instructions.
  • Ensure work areas are clear of excess tooling and materials.
  • Verify all safety features (guarding, e-stops) are operational during setup.
  • Load lines and confirm first-off quality before handover.
  • Maintain product quality throughout production runs.
  • Support the department as needed, including packing and operating.
  • Uphold BRC hygiene standards.
  • Act as a Material Handler to keep presses supplied and running.
  • Learn and operate the universal grinding machine.
What We're Looking For:
  • A proactive communicator with a positive attitude.
  • Experience in press setting (desirable).
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Organised and tidy work habits.
Essential Skills:
  • Manual press experience (essential).
  • Knowledge of press tooling or materials (desirable).
  • Understanding of legal requirements for press setting.
