Grade 3 (B1) Salary £28,598 - £30,024 per annum
North Kesteven District Council is seeking an experienced administrator to join its Housing and Property Business Support team; This post provides a central hub of generic support to the teams responsible for ensuring the Council’s portfolio of over 4,000 homes are safe, of high quality and compliant with regulations.
Job Requirements:
• Administration experience in a busy office environment is essential.
• High level of organisational skills to manage a complex and varied workload with the ability to deal swiftly and efficiently with enquiries received both from internal and external customers.
• Multi-tasking to balance a myriad of jobs within deadlines.
• Ability to work independently, using initiative, along with working as part of a team and across different departments of the Council.
• Good numerical and written communication skills are vital.
• ICT skills in Microsoft products Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams are essential.
• Customer Service skills required to interact positively with colleagues and
external customers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the Council’s Right to Buy Scheme.
• Processing financial payments and raising purchase orders so a good mathematical
background is required. Ordering supplies and challenging invoices when incorrect.
• Allocation of council garages, parking permits, booking communal rooms.
• Interrogation and inputting of data into several software systems including asbestos, so a high level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail is critical.
• Scanning and uploading documents. Writing and updating procedures.

• Highly organised and conscientious with excellent time management.
• Communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
• Administrative competence.
The successful candidate will be able to evidence their experience of working in a busy office environment and ensure confidentially while demonstrating a conscientious and approachable can-do attitude. You will be required to apply a high-level of support to the Housing and Property teams and show an appreciation of the contribution local government can make to the welfare of the people living, working, and visiting within the area.
