Smart Solutions is currently recruiting a Class 2 Trade Waste Driver for our client based in Cotesbach LE17. Our client is a leader in waste management services.
Job Details:
Pay rate: £16.50 per hour, weekly pay every Friday
Shift pattern: Monday - Friday | shift start 4am/5am, 10 hrs shift
£75 attendance bonus for completing a full week
Industry: Waste & Recycling
The role can be physically demanding, involving lifting and carrying of waste and recycling materials from various waste receptacles (e.g. bins, bags and boxes).
Duties & Responsibilities:
Drive and operate a Class 2 (Category C) HGV to collect trade waste
Use bin-lifting equipment and follow pre-planned routes
Perform daily vehicle checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness
Ensure compliance with all health & safety and waste handling regulations
Provide professional and courteous customer service
Report any issues, delays, or incidents promptly
Person Specification:
Able to meet the essential physical requirements of the role including lifting and carrying
Ability to adapt quickly to a fast paced, dynamic work environment
Previous experience within a waste & recycling industrial environment would be an advantage
Good team player and communicator
Able to perform various tasks including moving bulky items and loading the vehicle outside in all weather conditions
