Summary
Are you a registered nurse looking for a new career path? As a Nurse Manager you will oversee a caseload of complex care clients. At HASCS our approach is unique and you will look after a handful of service users ensuring you can get to know their care and needs fully. You should be self-motivated and capable of managing your schedule efficiently. Occasionally, you may encounter challenging conversations or conflicts. It's important to address these situations with empathy, working towards a practical resolution. You will ideally be based in either ''Dorset'' or ''Cornwall'' as you will be required to cover these areas as part of your role. Please note that this role will involve travelling on a regular basis.

Main Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of Complex Care clients – supporting mobilisation, delivery, and ongoing quality measuring. Manage risks with comprehensive care planning and risk assessments; escalating high level of risks to appropriate personnel.
- Manage diary effectively & flexibly to meet the needs of your caseloads/care packages. Due to the nature of the business, this is not a 9:00 – 17:00 role. You must possess exemplary organisational skills to be able to multitask, prioritise your workload and time management to ensure delivery of outcomes and goals in a timely manner and meet strictest deadlines .
- Form part of the rapid response service for emergency cover and occasional weekend work which may be required during mobilisation of new care packages or to cover care shifts when all other efforts to identify cover have failed. TOIL or overtime would be available for weekend working (based on shift covered).
- Working alongside the coordination team to ensure that caseloads/care packages are adequately staffed through periods of holiday or sickness to minimise any disruption to the smooth and safe delivery of care.
- Working alongside the education team to support with clinical training and assessment of new starters and current staff in your caseloads/care packages to ensure compliance and competency in accordance with the CQC, other statutory bodies and HASCS policies & procedures.
- Ensure concerns or complaints received are dealt with in line with HR’s advice.
- Work effectively with the wider team to source, recruit and develop a wide and varied complex care workforce to meet the needs of existing client base and look for opportunities to develop the workforce to enable movement into new business areas in the locality, ensuring each team member is effectively, respectfully, and regularly communicated with.
You will have:
Ability to diffuse conflicts and disagreements, then find a workable solution.
Ability to act decisively and maintain discretion.
Ability to remain calm and cope under pressure.
A minimum of 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse.
A minimum of 1 years experience of working with Learning and Disability clients.
Experience in ICU and/or Complex Care Nursing.
Experience of working within a community setting.
NMC Registration.
A valid UK Driving Licence & use of your own car.
